The CTU is based in the Beatson Cancer Centre, the second largest cancer centre in the United Kingdom and indeed the leading cancer services centre in Scotland.

The centre is currently all services are based entirely at the Gartnavel General Hospital site.

Approximately 8,000 new patients are seen each year in addition to those patients who are already on ongoing treatment, this leads to more than 14,000 courses of chemotherapy and more than 6,000 courses of radiotherapy being administered each year.
